Creative fashion and lovely posing. Nicole’s hair is FINALLY getting some curls and body!

Nicole attended more birthday parties, this time she was one of just a few girls at her friend Frank’s soccer party.

Our friends Robert and Veronica hosted a play day which included this lovely peach & strawberry tart prepared by Robert himself.  Here are Sylvia, Sophie and Elena practicing their finger puppet show which was a hit.

Wow – it’s a wheel-o toy! I haven’t seen one since the 1970s.  Must search on ebay!!  After watching Mulan, Sophie wanted to make a shoulder carrier pole…..

Malcolm’s hair sometimes gets mysteriously shorter after he goes to bed at night.  On this occasion the hair cut fairy went a bit mad with the hair clippers!

The rest of September 2013

After the start of school, we spent the rest of the month enjoying a spell of uncommonly good weather.  Highlights included attending a birthday party, styling hair, playing at local parks, doing arts & crafts, and the start of the girls’ swimming and dance classes.

 

 

 

   

Start of school part 2

The big day finally arrived – the start of Malcolm’s nursery class!  The class is only from 8:30-11:30 each day so not too long for this age.  They staggered the start of the nursery students and Malcolm was in during the first few days. He adjusted fine and had no issues joining in and having a fun time.  He also felt like a big boy to be finally walking to school with the girls in his uniform and carrying his school bag.

Start of school part 1

Sophie (age 6, year 2 in the UK or 1st grade in the USA) and Nicole (age 5, year 1 in the UK or kindergarten in the USA) started their year a week prior to Malcolm (age 3, UK nursery school, no USA equivalent).

  

Nicole wanted a new hair style to highlight her longer-than-ever (but extremely slow-growing) hair.

Final days of summer before the start of school

We spent the rest of early September having fun and getting ready for school.

ANOTHER trip to A&E (Emergency Room)

We really have had the worst luck this year!!

Malcolm slipped on a wet bathroom tiled floor and cracked the back of his head.  Another scary moment but he was ok and was very brave while the nurse cleaned the wound and applied that new-fangled glue to close the wound.

As it turns out that was our last injury for a long time.
